Mine did at 32 weeks!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9114796771891780245.post-63214811117304572822010-03-13T10:45:39.159-08:002010-03-13T10:45:39.159-08:00I wouldn't be a good friend if I didn't tr...I wouldn't be a good friend if I didn't try to convince you one more time to (even if this ends in a cesarean) allow labor to begin on it's own. There are numerous benefits of this. I wish with all my heart that just ONE person had said these to me before I ended up traumatized from my surgery.

1. The baby will decide when she's ready to come, meaning her lungs will be fully developed and you won't be risking any late-term prematurity. There is a complex chemical occurrence that takes place when the baby is ready to come, and it's hugely beneficial to both of you.

2. Also, your body going into labor will signal your milk production. One of the reasons c-section moms have such a terrible time breastfeeding is that their body just doesn't realize it's time to make milk because they didn't go through birth. It's a whole body experience.

3. She could always flip during labor (or before)!!! If you schedule, you might always be left wondering what if. But if you allow labor to start and they still insist on sectioning you, only THEN have you left no stone unturned.

4. Women who've allowed labor to begin on it's own are considered much better candidates for VBAC than women who've never experienced labor. Any dilation of your cervix at all will prepare your body for what to do next time.

That's all I'll say. I know you need support now so that's what I'll give you. I just want you to know that you have options, and there are really good reasons that so many of us experienced mothers want to do anything we possibly can to help you avoid any problems with this birth.

Lots of love.TheFeministBreederhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10870473200937110378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9114796771891780245.post-75394246667905281272010-03-12T22:07:55.186-08:002010-03-12T22:07:55.186-08:00I, personally, am so happy that you tried everythi...I, personally, am so happy that you tried everything in your power to flip her. Kudos to you!

Who knows, maybe she isn't stubborn. Maybe, just maybe, her cord or something was causing her to get a bad feeling about bein head down, booty up.

Regardless of the situation inside your tummy, she will be happy and healthy. And I am glad that you are trying to let it go. I know it isn't what you wanted, and that stinks. I'm sorry for that!

Still can't wait to see her pretty face!*.::alex::.*https://www.blogger.com/profile/02856144643695226448noreply@blogger.com
